Eligibility
Senior graduate students and post-doctoral scholars in neuroscience, psychology, economics and related disciplines are encouraged to apply.
Application Requirements
Those interested in attending the Summer School must submit the following materials:
· CV
· Personal statement (2 Pages) on why the applicant is interested in participating
· Two (2) letters of recommendation sent by your references*
· OPTIONAL: If the applicant needs scholarship/financial aid, provide an additional justification (1 Page) indicating the reason for and level of requested aid
*NOTE: You will need to provide your references’ contact information on the application page. We will email them with instructions on submitting the letters of recommendation.
Selection Procedure
Thirty (30) applicants will be selected. Selection will be based primarily on applicants’ research interests and motivation. We will also consider the balance in research disciplines and other factors that contribute to a diverse intellectual atmosphere. Applicants will be emailed regarding decisions around mid-February.
Costs and Financial Aid
The total tuition cost is $2,000 USD; this includes student housing accommodations, course materials, and meals in NYU Shanghai.**
Limited scholarship funds will be available for students who cannot obtain sufficient support from their home laboratories or institutions. Such scholarships must be requested with the application. Please review the Application Process section.
**NOTE: Students will be responsible for their own travel and insurance, which is NOT included in the tuition.

Can I apply if I am not a graduate student or post-doctorate scholar?
This program is intended for those who are in a PhD program, completed a PhD program, or serving as post-doctorate scholars in the field of Psychology, Neuroscience, Economics and related disciplines. In some cases, junior faculty who are particularly good fits to the program have been admitted. Undergraduate students are not admitted.
Will there be on-site registration?
Due to the volume and competitive level of the application pool, there is no on-site registration. Interested students must submit an application by the deadline (January 20, 2019 @ 11:59PM EST) to be considered for the program.
