Xiao-Jing Wang

Professor of Neural Science, Co-Director of the Swartz Center for Theoretical Neuroscience

Professor Wang's research is in Computational and Theoretical Neuroscience, with a focus on the neural circuit mechanisms of decision-making and other higher cognitive functions, as well as their deficits associated with mental illness. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship, Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences fellowship, the Chinese government's 1000 talent award. He is also a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
